SJWC's Third Naglee Park Vintage Home Tour includes historic homes, a boutique of hand-made items and antiques, a chat with local historian April Halberstadt about her recently completed history of Naglee Park, and an elegant tea served in the garden of the Bishop of San Jose. All events occur within a one-block radius. Park once and enjoy the day walking through historic Naglee Park.

All proceeds from the event are dedicated towards renovating the original electrical elements of the Clubhouse and expanding its capacity to meet the needs of the 21st century.

Spanish Colonial Home

The San Jose Woman's Club 2012 Naglee Park Vintage Home Tour presents a rare opportunity to view six architectural gems built in the 1920's and 30's.

Home styles include Italian Renaissance Revival, Spanish Colonial, Monterey Revival, Dutch Colonial, Spanish Eclectic and English Tudor.

 

Tea

A scrumptious tea, catered by Tea Traditions of San Jose, will be served in the Bishop's Garden. The tea includes three types of Sandwiches (Chicken with Tarragon, Traditional Egg Salad,  and Cucumber with Cream Cheese), Cranberry and Orange Zest Scone with Clotted Cream, a Lemon Cookie, Fresh Fruit, Asian Chicken Salad and English Breakfast Tea.

The Scrumptious tea tickets are sold out. Light refreshments will be available the day of the event by the Ticket Sales table at 595 S. 14th St., San Jose.

 

April Halberstadt

The Treasure Boutique, located at 584 S. 14th St., San Jose, includes handcrafted clothing, jewelry, antiques and collectibles and is free and open to all. More than a dozen invited vendors will be there.

Naglee Park historian April Halberstadt will speak about her recently completed history of Naglee Park at the Treasure Boutique at 1:00 p.m.
