2013 Fourth Annual Naglee Park Vintage Home Tour and Tea

SJWC's Fourth Naglee Park Vintage Home Tour includes historic homes, a boutique of hand-made items and antiques, a chat with local historian April Halberstadt about the history of Naglee Park and General Naglee, and an elegant tea served in at a lovely home overlooking William Street Park. All events occur within a five-block radius. Park once and enjoy the day walking through historic Naglee Park.

All proceeds from the event are dedicated towards preserving the historic SJWC Clubhouse and expanding its capacity to meet the needs of the 21st century.

Naglee Park Vintage Home Tour Exterior

The San Jose Woman's Club 2013 Naglee Park Vintage Home Tour presents a rare opportunity to view four architectural gems, one of which is a landmark once owned by former San Jose Mayor Ernie Renzel.

All homes demonstrates the skills of their architects and builders and have retained their exterior integrity as well as many original interior fixtures. All gardens are professionally landscaped and offer a range of xeriscape concepts.

 

Tea

A scrumptious tea, catered by Tea Traditions of San Jose, will be served at a fifth lovely home overlooking William Street Park. Park. Two seatings are available: 11 a.m. and 12:45. The tea includes three types of Tea Sandwiches, a Cranberry and Orange Zest Scone with Clotted Cream, a Lemon Cookie, Fresh Fruit, Asian Salad and English Breakfast Tea. Light refreshments will also be available on the day of the event at the Treasure Boutique.

A separate ticket is required for the tea.

 

April HalberstadtThe Treasure Boutique, which includes handcrafted clothing, jewelry, antiques and collectibles, is free and open to all.

Naglee Park historian April Halberstadt will speak about the history of Naglee Park and General Naglee at the Treasure Boutique at 1:00 p.m.
